Underhill Cottage is a delightful 300 year old Devonshire cob built cottage situated in the heart of the village near to the local pub in a beautiful part of the English countryside. This newly opened B&B accommodation offers a double room with en-suite facilities, Sky TV and wifi.
The guest room has a comfortable king sized bed, ample storage space with tea and coffee making facilities, it has original features including hard wood floor and timer beams. Underhill cottage nestles into the hillside and has a pretty patio with a Barbeque, fish pond and views overlooking the valley.
The emphasis is on an informal relaxed atmosphere and home cooking. We use fresh locally sourced produce, and you can look forward to a homemade breakfast each morning, prepared on the AGA. Organic and free range meat and eggs are usually available. Special diets happily catered for, with vegans and vegetarians always welcome. If you need a lactose reduced or sugar free diet, no problem, just let us know in advance.
Combeinteignhead is an attractive village a couple of miles south of Newton Abbot, five miles from Torquay and only a few miles from the seaside villages of Shaldon and Teignmouth. The River Teign runs alongside the village and there are plenty of good walks in the beautiful countryside great for lovers of nature, wildlife and exploring. The village is a conservation area, with plenty of traditional cob and thatch cottages. It has an interesting old church with a 12th century font and two historic pubs if you want to rest for a while between exploring.
