The Lamb Inn is a 16th century former posting house, close to Exeter and Crediton with open fires and lovely gardens, offering rooms that are the height of contemporary luxury including underfloor heating, power showers and flat screen TV. Our sumptuous rooms are of a style more often found in five star hotels, larger than average with new orthopaedic beds, small luxury bathrooms and original artwork. Our suite has a working wood burner and a slate surrounded platform bath so that you can bathe while watching television and sipping your aperitif after a hard day's walking.

The public bar and dining areas are traditional, comfortable and warm with log fires, sofas and great art on the walls; there is a fabulous courtyard garden and a second more open garden with views of the surrounding countryside. Food is high quality, mainly local and fairly priced with a team led by French head chef Franck Gautherot aiming to provide modern pub food that still retains some classics. Prices from £7 – £13 per main course. We pride ourselves on being a real pub that serves excellent food and drink and not a restaurant masquerading as a pub, thus only some of our tables can be reserved, we are recommended by Camra and we always offer a minimum of three good real ales. Our wine list is sufficiently long to cover all the bases but short enough to be sensible and to keep prices cheaper than average.

We can offer any breakfast you like. Rates are per room and range from £69 - £95 per night but there are potential discounts for last minute rooms and bookings that do not require breakfast. Dog friendly and dog free rooms available.
