St Olaves Hotel is a small, intimate hotel situated in the very centre of the historic city of Exeter. The family run hotel is a listed Georgian Town House, with a cascading spiral staircase surrounded by a beautiful walled garden. The 15 bedroom, award winning hotel and restaurant offers guests a luxurious, tranquil, home from home, whilst only being a few minutes walk to the high street and the new Princesshay shopping centre, as well as, Exeter University.

The hotel has been sympathetically modernised to retain the ambiance of a by-gone age but still offering guests modern comforts such as stylish bathrooms, power showers and internet access. All rooms have their individual character, many with plush furnishings and four poster beds. Other little luxuries, such as homemade biscuits and chocolates and bottled water come as standard.

The Treasury Restaurant, named in recognition of the fact that Charles I coins were minted on the site, is open every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner offering guests a fine dining experience in splendid mirrored surroundings. Our menus are created by our experienced chef to tantalise your taste buds using seasonal ingredients and local produce from the best suppliers.

A bistro menu is also available to be enjoyed in the lounge, conservatory or al-fresco in the garden. St Olaves wine menu offers a wide range of international wines, including locally produced West Country wines.

St Olaves stands out from the crowd, offering the intimacy of a small traditional hotel but with all the facilities and amenities of a modern one. Our welcome dispenses with the formality normally attached to staying in a hotel and our staff provide 24 hour friendly, efficient service.

Discover this oasis in the centre of Exeter. Come to unwind or stay in our executive suites whilst on business. Book a special dinner; hire us for a party, a Christmas celebration or for a business meeting or conference.

St Olaves caters for business events and special occasions, including weddings and wedding receptions. Please call for further details.

Long term rental of our services apartment or house in the historic Mint, build by William the Conqueror in 1087 is also available.
