Approached by its own private driveway and set in 16 acres of glorious Devon countryside, Sherrill Farm is a perfect spot to relax and unwind. The farm offers 13 delightful cottages converted from the original 200-year-old barns. Sherrill Farm boasts a magnificent indoor heated swimming pool (12m x 6m x depth 0.8m to 2.6m), open all year. After an energetic swim you can step out onto the surrounding sun terrace and enjoy the stunning south-facing views, whilst the children keep themselves entertained in their own play area. Table tennis and pool can also be played in the pool area. An all-weather tennis court is available, rackets for hire (correct tennis shoes to be worn). There is a jacuzzi and steam room, a well-equipped small gym, trampoline, badminton net, volleyball and bowls hire.
All the cottages have Wi-Fi access and their own parking directly outside the cottage. We have a skittle alley and beauty room in the pool area. There is an indoor climbing barn 1/4 mile away and Bude and Widemouth beaches are appromimately 1/2hr drive.
If you prefer just to take it easy then why not stroll around the grounds and meet the resident pets, large and small. Three new ponds were installed in 2001; one created to encourage wildlife and set in beautiful surroundings. How many newts, tadpoles, frogs, butterflies, birds and insects can you spy? Whilst two further ponds have been stocked with fish, for those wishing to try their hand at this relaxing pastime (rods can be hired on site). There is also a picnic area and summerhouse along the banks of the ponds, a beautiful area offering peace and tranquillity. Whatever you decide to do, Sherrill Farm is a superb place for the entire family.
The detached farmhouse has its own private gardens. Great Meadow Barn is situated approximately 50 metres away down a country lane. Clustered around the central courtyard, the cottages retain many features and are charmingly furnished and decorated, with well-equipped, modern mellow pine kitchens.
