Quality Bed and Breakfast on a working farm on the North Devon and Cornwall Border.
Val, Roddy and family welcome you to their traditional, working farm, close to the North Devon and Cornwall border where we offer quality bed and breakfast accommodation. The market town of Holsworthy and the coastal town of Bude are close by.
Enjoy a delicious Devonshire cream tea on arrival, served in our dining room or out in the garden in fine weather using local clotted cream, jam and homemade scones. This offers an opportunity to make yourselves at home and to find out a little about Forda Farm.
Forda Farm nestles in a tranquil secluded valley, bordered on two sides by streams which eventually flow into the River Waldon and then on into the River Torridge. The River Torridge meanders it’s way through the rolling North Devon countryside to its end at the “Little White Town” of Bideford.
The beaches of Bude, Widemouth Bay and Crackington Haven are all within easy reach. (Bude is 13 miles away-a drive of approximately 20 minutes.) Surfing lessons are available in Bude.
The North Devon and North Cornish coast offer many opportunities for walking, with Tamar Lake and Roadford Lake offering a variety of water sports.
The Three moors of Dartmoor, Exmoor and Bodmin moor offer a range of scenery and a variety of walking opportunities.
The world famous Eden Project is within an hours drive and makes an excellent day trip. Eden Project tickets and Eden Project short Breaks can be arranged. (Just ask Val for more details) RHS Rosemoor, Docton Mill gardens, Hartland Abbey, Winsford Walled gardens and a number of gardens which open for charity can be found locally.
Relax and unwind after a busy days activity in our beamed lounge with wood burning stove or in our cosy welcoming bedroom.
Simple Two-course evening meals can be offered by arrangement only or try one of our local pubs.
