Four stylish, comfortable self-catering 'cottage' apartments within manor farmhouse, including wheelchair accessible ground floor accommodation. Whether needing that relaxing break, or you have some business in the area, or visiting family and friends, our rural, peaceful convenient location is also a perfect base to explore the whole county.

You will receive a warm and personal welcome from on-site, friendly owners (much local knowledge) who can assist with planning your stay, even arranging locally produced organic vegetables or supermarket deliveries. The on-site pay phone, supply of visitors information, local taxi service and wi-fi facility will assist your stay. Boots, bikes, rods and clubs are all welcome. Stroll early mornings/evenings around our on-site picturesque lakes (carp and tench day ticket fishing). Feed numerous small birds not forgetting our resident moscovy duck 'Dilly'.

We are a mile from the old market town of Crediton (offering train and bus links). Local activities include the scenic, sweeping Downes golf course, Crediton leisure centre (full-sized and junior pools). Crediton High Street of independent shops includes butchers, organic bakery, The Green Shop, Treloars delicatessen, TIC, coffee shop, inns and restaurants. Crediton's monthly farmers market offers organic, quality, locally grown produce. Great choice of ready food options - Chinese, Thai, Indian, Cantonese and fish & chips. Numerous pubs/inns nearby serving local produce and even their own brewed beer. You can stroll on foot to the Lamb Inn, Sandford village (avoid the cow pats!). The university and cathedral city of Exeter is only 7 miles away offering extensive shopping including the new cosmopolitan shopping area of Princesshay. There are many attractions and activities in Exeter and locality - visit cinemas, megabowl, theatres, or cycle the canal path and the quay, visit local National Trust properties and gardens, and the coast (nearest beach is Dawlish 17 miles away). We are also sandwiched between Dartmoor and Exmoor - you will need more than a week!
