Clanaborough

Clanaborough is a self catering holiday cottage set amongst quiet rolling fields in the South Hams area of South Devon. This 400 year old thatched cottage is in an area noted for its spectacular scenery. The cottage is a Grade 2 listed building and sleeps up to 6 people.

With its magical sandy beaches, Bigbury Bay is just 4 miles away, and the wonderful wild open spaces of Dartmoor National Park are about 12 miles to the north. The nearest villages are Aveton Gifford and Modbury while Kingsbridge, at the head of the beautiful Salcombe estuary, is only 5 miles away.

Clanaborough has been owned by the family for just over 100 years and it is a much loved place. It was bought by our great grandfather and is still frequently used by the family. We are also delighted to share the cottage with holiday visitors. We do not charge full commercial rates but let it out in order to help cover the costs of maintaining the property, e.g. re-thatching

The cottage has a newly refurbished kitchen, and visitors can enjoy an open fire in the sitting room and a log burning stove in the dining/living room whilst there are electric heaters upstairs. New for 2009 - Satellite television (Freesat) is now available in the cottage. The cottage sleeps up to 6 or 7 people in 3 bedrooms.
