Boswell Farm Cottages, set in a secluded Devon valley, yet only 2 miles from the Regency coastal resort of Sidmouth offers seven spacious country cottages. Located in a beautiful rural setting, it is one of the select places around Britain designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Original period buildings, some dating back to the XVIIIth Century, have been sympathetically converted into spacious self-catering cottages, each having a private garden with delicate scented flowers in abundance. You could spend quality time listening to the birds, watching the stars in the clear night sky or simply enjoy al fresco meals.
Discover our private stocked trout pond, meet our resident farm animals, play tennis on the all weather court, let the children play in the meadow or simply walk around the 45 acres of glorious Devon farmland. Boswell has been enjoyed by generations of guests; life is relaxed and you leave refreshed.
Visit the fascinating Jurassic Coast, the East Devon and Dorset World Heritage site or take a stroll down to the nearby XIVth Century Blue Ball Inn where you will find hearty Devon fayre tastefully prepared from local produce.
All year round Boswell Farm Cottages provide an ideal location for your coast and country holiday. For the comfort of all guests we have a non-smoking policy. Well-behaved dogs are accepted in selected cottages.
SPACIOUS COUNTRY COTTAGES
In a courtyard setting, the spacious, self-contained cottages, beautifully converted from the original XVIIIth and XIXth Century period farm buildings, retain many original features adding to their individual character. There are oak beams and some wooden ceilings complimenting the traditional cottage décor. All have fitted carpets, colour television, video/DVD players and electric heating. The separate large kitchens are fully equipped and include everything you would expect from 4 star accommodation. Laundry facilities are also available for guest’s use.
Mill House and The Linhay have extra facilities including combined washing machine and tumble dryers, food processors and hair dryers.
Each cottage has a private enclosed garden with its own garden furniture where you will often enjoy al fresco dining surrounded by the light fragrance and beauty of cottage garden flowers.
Take a trip through ages past, sitting in the tranquil historic courtyard alongside the listed Threshing Barn standing on its original Beer Stone Pillars.
Enjoy walks in the meadow, watch the Kingfisher dart across the natural pond, listen to the gentle babbling of Snodbrook. As night time falls observe the galaxy of stars in the dark velvet sky. These will give you treasured memories.
