About us

Visit Devon is the Destination Management Organisation for Devon. It is one of nine such organisations covering the whole of the South West of England, each charged with responsibility for the development of tourism in one of the region's leading destination brands.

Launched in 2008 Visit Devon is a not for profit public: private partnership, reinvesting any earned income back into marketing the county. Working with Devon's six Area Tourism Partnerships (Heart of Devon, Destination Plymouth, North Devon+, Dartmoor Partnership, English Riviera Tourist Board and Visit South Devon), and three county wide groups (Devon County Council, the Devon Association of Tourist Attractions and Devon Farms) to bring more visitors to Devon. It works in close partnership with its members, with the South West of England Regional Development Agency, South West Tourism, VisitBritain and partner destination management organisations to improve business competitiveness, support employment and economic growth, provide services to visitors and market Devon as a premier business and leisure tourism destination.

Our mission is to strengthen Devon's status as the primary UK destination for business and leisure. A place that promotes sustainability, delivers quality, welcomes world class events and offers a quality of life experience that is second to none.
